Fitnest EU is committed to being as sustainable as we can, in business & our personal lives.
SUSTAINABLE DELIVERY PARTNER ONLY
From our online store to your nest, we choose to only work with delivery partners with a carbon neutral commitment. Transport is the industry that eats up the majority of the world’s, not limitless energy, especially petroleum. Then air pollution and global warming follow suit.
Our share.
We are self-conscious about choosing our delivery partners, so that a desk delivered to you is a carbon footprint less on our mother earth.
NO PLASTIC PACKAGING BY 2022
Plastic not only destroys the ocean ecosystem, but it’s sticking around for ages also harms life on land, spreading toxins and accelerating global warming. Now, our boxes are made of recycled corrugated cardboard, and some plastic bags to hold the small components of the desk.
Our share.
We aim to be 100% plastic-free in all of our packaging by 2022. A plastic bag less, for one more happy turtle.
UPDATE
The only single use plastic on our standing desk boxes is the one containing the screws. Moreover, we have small Styrofoam pads for better transport. That’s it. Β Instead of printing an instruction manual we use a recycled pet screen wiper with a Β QR code for instructions.
PAPERLESS MANUAL & INVOICES
Deforestation may not be visible. Trees are cut where we donβt live, when we donβt see, by means we donβt know. But its consequences are. Stunning natural forests with rare leopards are gone. Snow on Christmas every year is gone in many countries.
Our share.
We cut down on using paper when not needed. Instruction Manual. Digitized. Invoices. Digitized.
SUSTAINABLE HABITS & HOBBIES
Sustainability is a part of our teamβs lifestyle, from our hobbies to our habits. Delight Mother Nature. Double delight for our pockets and mental health too.
Our share.
We commute car-free, and absolutely enjoy our bikes, skateboards and feet (pre-lockdown time). Carlos and his wife are taking up veggies gardening and desire one day to build an Earthship. Nikolay enjoys mountain biking instead of a city trip on the weekend. Natasha carries her tote bag around whenever she shops. Jurre says no to fast-fashion and supports the environment and socially conscious brands only.
